The speaker highlighted that India’s present economic woes marked by a rapid fall in the value of rupee are primarily caused by persistent inflation and the high current account deficit (CAD). Another factor which is responsible for aggravating the economic crisis in India is leadership deficit because of which we have lost the confidence of the world, she very categorically exemplified in her talk.
The session, well attended by students as well as faculty members of the organizing departments, was very enlightening and interesting.
