PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES

PSO 1

Understand the basic concepts of microeconomics and optimizing behavior of consumers, producers and firms and analyze different alternative theories of firms, market structures, market externalities, general equilibrium and welfare economics.

PSO 2

Understand the basic concepts of macroeconomics and the determination of income, output and employment and other related concepts according to the classical and Keynesian system and comprehend the fundamentals of post-Keynesian, new classical and new Keynesian schools of thought.

PSO 3

Learn about the various mathematical tools like differentiation, integration, linear programming, game theory, etc.  and their applications in economic analysis.

PSO 4

Learn about the various statistical tools like descriptive measures, bivariate analysis, time series, probability distributions and hypothesis testing and their applications in economic analysis.

Acquire knowledge of the development process of Indian economy and the growth of primary, secondary and tertiary sectors and understand the   economic reforms, planning and various issues related to Indian economy.
