A Two-Day Workshop on ‘AN INTRODUCTION TO BASIC ECONOMETRIC TOOLS USING SPSS’

The department of Economics organized a two-day workshop on ‘An

Introduction to Basic Econometric tools using SPSS’ from 27-28

February, 2015. The workshop was primarily designed for the post

graduate students with the objective of giving them a hands-on

experience with the statistical software, SPSS and to make them

confident in using it for their dissertation. The participants were both

post graduate and under graduate students of the department. The

resource persons were Dr. Nidhi Sharma and Ms. Hemlata Joshi. The

course structure of the workshop dealt with familiarizing students with

entering data into SPSS, basic statistical & econometric tools, entering

questionnaire & deriving results. The participants immensely benefitted

from the training.
