A special lecture was delivered by Prof. C. R. Bishnoi, Head, Department of Economics on Saturday, October 12, 2019 on ‘Econometric Modelling and Use of EViews’ for the faculty members, research scholars and students of the department.

 Firstly, he discussed about the basic concepts, e.g., assumptions on linear regression model, framing of hypothesis, type I type II errors, levels of significance, one-tailed and 2-tailed tests and testing of hypothesis.

 He also trained the participants to fit multiple linear regression model by EViews using the data on Indian economy. At the end he discussed the use of t and F test to test the validity of results.
