With the present world offering a variety of investment strategies, investment options and investment ideas, people often lack in the knowledge of proper and strategic implementation of these. So, for a better understanding of the same, the Department of Economics organised a seminar on 'The Role of National Stock Exchange and Financial Products' on August 21, 2019 for the undergraduate and post graduate students of Economics. The  speaker for the event was Mr Karan Kapoor, who is currently working with NSE, New Delhi, as the Deputy Manager - Businees Development.

In the inception of the program, the session gave a deep insight of the current and the traditional financial market of India. It focused on the working of the stock exchange market of India and also included a brief about the various aspects and structure of National Stock Exchange. This was followed with a detailed introduction of the various financial and investment options like Mutual Funds, Bank Deposits, shares, NiftyETF, and many more. The speaker dealt in detail about the comparative advantages and disadvantages of these investment options.

The students very enthusiastically participated and the program concluded successfully with zeal and ardour.
