Motivational lecture on 'Mantras of Success'

The Department of Economics, IIS (deemed to be) University organized a motivational lecture on “Mantras of Success” on 25^th October, 2021, in the AV Hall from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The spokesperson was Dr. Satish Batra, who has been the Head of the department at Rajasthan University, Jaipur and has formerly worked as Deputy Director, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Jaipur.The lecture was attended by 57 students of PG and UG Economics course.

The main aim of the lecture was to motivate the students to achieve their career and life goals. The lecture started with a motivational video highlighting the importance of happiness in one’s life. Dr.Satish Batra laid emphasis on the fact that true happiness can be only achieved by becoming a divine personality and not a demon.

He motivated the students with the help of some examples of the struggles & successes of prominent personalities like J.K Rowling, Arunima Sinha, Martin Luther King Jr. and many more. He further stated that failure is the first step to success and emphasized on the importance of strong willpower in order to achieve success. Later, he also mentioned that leaving the hands of obstructive, abortive and subversive thinking will provide an optimistic attitude and will be driver towards success.

The session was concluded by explaining the little nuances of a successful and happy life in a very light hearted yet an effective manner. At the end, some of the queries were also answered.

This event was very interesting as well as informative, as it motivated and guided the students to follow the right path.
