Created in 1995, the Department of Economics at IIS (deemed to be University) has been one of the most progressive departments of the University attracting students from within and outside Rajasthan. Our innovative curriculum across both our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes provides an outstanding training in economics which is both intellectual and professional.

The department also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes. The research at the department aims to yield new and cutting-edge insight to improve economic well-being, and to educate the next generation of leaders of business, government, and academic inquiry.

We also train students of undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes to analyse data and estimate models using softwares like EViews, IBM SPSS and MS Excel.
